Article Marketing: A Battle Ready Twenty-one Point Checklist To Insure Success!

By: Richard J. Runion

Thousands of article marketers post articles to directories every day. A small proportion of them are successful, and a minuscule percentage of them are recognized by Search Engines which rank them in top positions. Thus, only a few articles written and submitted achieve outstanding success; some are moderately successful, whereas, the majority are damp squibs owing to several factors .

What accounts for the positive impact of the articles of the successful few? Voila! Behold my battle ready task list, ordered according to priority. You may know many, if you are not a newbie to Article Marketing. Chances are, there should be at least a few I have listed that you are possibly hearing of for the first time.

Whenever you write and submit an article to article directories, dovetail your essay with this checklist, and increase the probability that your article will deliver. Ok, here we go:

1. Does Your Article Title Pull Them In? Can You Describe It As Controversial/Beneficial/Shocking/Topical/Informative/Calling To Action/Intriguing?

2. Are Their PR's Sufficiently High, Referring To The Online Directories Where You Submit Your Articles ?

3. Is Your Author Bio (Resource Box) Motivating Enough?

4. Are There Incentives Offered To Visit Your Site?

5. How Well Does Your Site Justify The Promise Made In Your Article?

6. Were You Able To Include Various Accompanying Anchor Texts For Your Author Bio?

7.How Original Is The Core Theme Of Your Article?

8. How Many Article Directories Are You Submitting Your Article To?

9. Will You Send Multiple Versions Of Your Write-Up To Several Online Directories, Or Mass-Submit Just One Version To The Lot?

10. Do You Physically Redo Many Editions Of The Article, Or Use Spinning Software?

11. Are You In A Sufficiently Popular Niche? What Kind Of Competition Does It Attract?

12. How Well Are Your Articles Written?

13. Are You Submitting Your Article Under The Appropriate Category Of The Chosen Directories?

14. Is There The Original Article In Your Own Blog/ Site?

15. Have You Your Own Article Directory In Your Niche, With Regular Article Subissions To It? Do You Post Your Articles In It?

16. Do You Have An Atrractive Article Summary?

17. Are You A Popular Author?

18. Do You Employ Popular Keywords? Is There A Lot Of Competition For Them?

19. How Well Do You Use Your Time?

20. Do You Consider Yourself A Lucky Person?

21. After Submitting To Directories, Do You Promote Your Article In Any Other Way?

Like it or not, your greatest capital is time. Many successful owners of online businesses outsource most of their work; for them, time is meant only for strategic thinking. Many get their articles written by others.

It's imperative for your articles to get posted regularly in directories. Ideally, many per day, with a minimum of one, weekly. If time is short, try to at least write your articles, while outsourcing their submission. But if time does not permit you to pen your own articles, or if you have no interest or skills in writing, you had better outsource both writing and submission.

Articles are like food- - you cannot prosper in their absence. Article writing and submission are ignored at your own peril.

Good Luck to your article marketing effort!
